Learn Corel Painter Tutorial 2 Getting started with the amazing Corel Painter application
The ultimate goal of Painter IX is to offer artist and designers to paint via computer and to be same as painting with brushs and pigment in real atelier . Which of colors is good chioce for my work? How to combine them? Now Here we open up the color palette firstly by clicking Windows > Show Colors.

In frontal small block is filled with Primary Color ,another is Secondary Color. By defult colors are white and black.Note:Backgroud color In the PAINTER is refers to canvas or paper color, but the canvas color is not always secondary color, the secondary color mostly uses in the stroke color, gradient color or Image Hose effect. If want to turn into HSV mode by clicking RGB vlaues.

You can use eyedropper tool to select colors on any images.

How to remove white color of the image below and fill in some pattern or colors? Ok, lets make a selection with Lasso selection tool.

Now under the top menu click Window > Show Brush Selector Bar to select sponges Dense Sponge 60.

I slapped some colors ,trying to fill the selection fully.

I typed some words at top right of girl as the image below.

Open up color palette by clicking Window > Color Palettes > Show Color Sets ,and click right top button ,a pop up menu appears.
New Color Set from Image command is to automatically collect colors from any images. So you can collect colors while an attractive image appears.^^

Click Window > Color Palettes > Show Mixer to customize colors you like.

Click Window > Brush Controls> Show Color Variablilty and you can select 4 mode on Color Variablilty palettes.


Click Window > Brush Controls> Show Color expression
This determines where Corel Painter how to use primary or secondary color in images.
None applies no adjustment to the color expression.
Velocity adjusts the color expression based on the dragging speed.
Direction adjusts the color expression based on the direction of the stroke, and according to the value you set with the slider or in the box.
Pressure adjusts the color expression based on stylus pressure.
Wheel adjusts the color expression based on the wheel settings on an airbrush stylus, specifically the Wacom Intuos Airbrush stylus.
Tilt adjusts the color expression based on the angle of the stylus from the tablet.
Bearing adjusts the color expression based on the direction in which the stylus points.
Rotation adjusts the color expression based on the rotation of the stylus.
Source adjusts the color expression based on the luminance of the clone source.
Random adjusts the color expression at random.
